and the train takes

20 s

to cross the bridge, the length of the train is

200 m

.
Let the length of the train be

x

meter.
Then total distance cover by the train is

400 + x

We know that,

v = \frac{s}{t}

Here,

v = 30 m / s

s = 400 + x

and

t = 20 s

Now,

30 = \frac{400 + x}{20}

\Rightarrow 600 = 400 + x

\Rightarrow x = 600 - 400

Therefore,

x = 200

Length of the train is

200 m
