Acceleration and Force acting on it, if its mass is 7 tonnes is 2 m/s2 and 1.4×104 N.
Given, that the truck starts from rest, its initial velocity, = 0.
Distance, = 400 m
Time, t = 20 s
Mass of the truck, = 7 tn
m=7×103 kg
From Newton’s second law of motion,
s=ut+ 12at2
400=0×20+ 12 ×× 202
400=200 a  a=2 ms-2
The force acting on the truck is,
F=ma
    =7×103×2
    =14000 N
    = 1.4×104 N
∴ The acceleration of the truck is 2 m/s2 and the force acting on it is 1.4×104 N.
