Detailed Solution

Given, a two-digit number whose sum of digits is 8. If the number is raised by 18, then its digits are reversed.
Let the number be xy.
xy=10×x+y
According to the question, xy+18=yx.
10x+y+18=10y+x
9x-9y=-18
x-y=-2 ………(1)
Sum is 8.
x+y=8 ……….(2)
Add (1) and (2).
x-y+x+y=-2+8
2x = 6
x = 3
y = 8 - x
= 8 - 3
= 5
So the number xy is 35.
Hence option 1 is correct.
