A vessel has $5\mathrm{L}\text{ and }500\mathrm{mL}$ of juice. How many glasses each of capacity $25 \mathrm{mL}$ can be filled with the given quantity of milk  ?
 

Quantity of juice  $=5\mathrm{L}\text{ and }500\mathrm{mL}$
$\begin{array}{l}=5000\mathrm{mL}+500\mathrm{mL}[\therefore 1\mathrm{L}=1000\mathrm{mL}]\\ =5500\mathrm{mL}\end{array}$
Capacity of one glass  $= 25 \mathrm{mL}$
$\therefore$ Number of glasses it can fill  $=\frac{5500}{25}$
$= 220$
