i) Forward jump = 3, backward jump p = 2
effective sum steps a 1 step
∴ He covers 1 step in 2 jump
To Reach behind destination 5 steps.
Total Jump in 5 steps = 5 × 2 ⇒ 10 jump he is
Now he is on 8th steps and after 1 jump he is on 9th step It means total = 10 + 1 = 11 jumps
ii) For ward jump = 4, back ward jump = 2 To Reach behind destinations = 8 – 4 = 4 steps. at the Rate of 2 Jump and 2 step
jump in step = 4 × 1
4 = jump
ii) It mean in step = 4 + 1 = 5 jumps
1) (–3 + 2) + (–3 + 2) + (–3 + 2) + (–3 + 2)
+(–3 + 2)– 3 = –5 – 3 = –8.
