If all the taps are opened together a full tank is emptied in 2 hours. If a bucket can hold 5 liters of water, what is the capacity of the tank? (Taps can be used inlet as well as outlet.)

Tap A empty in 1 hour $= \frac{(4 \times 5)}{24} \times 60 = 50$ litre
Tap B empty in 1 hour $= 8 \times 5 = 40$ litre
Tap C empty in 1 hour $= \frac{(2 \times 5)}{20} \times 60 = 30$ litre
$∴$ A, B and C together empty in 1 hour $= 50 + 40 + 30 = 120$ litre
Hence, capacity of tank $= 2 \times 120 = 240$ litre
