Given dimension of tank:-
Length (l) = 30m
Wide (2) = 20m
Deep (h) = 12m
Wide of thin iron sheet = 3m
Cost of iron sheet = 10rs. Per meter (∵ Given)
Surface area of water tank
2(lb + bh + hl)
2(30 × 20 + 20 × 12 + 30 × 12)
2(600 + 240 + 360)
2(1200)
2400m2
Now,
Area of iron sheet =2400m2
l × l =2400m2 l × 3 = 2400

(∴ w = 3m given)
l = 800m
∴ Total cost required to build water tank with iron sheet = 800 ×10
= ₹8000
