(b) Upon fertilisation of the egg, the zona pellucida layer gets impermeable and prevents further entry of sperms. This prevents polyspermy.

(c) Leydig cells or interstitial cells are the cells which are present in the regions outside the seminiferous tubules called interstitial spaces. They synthesise and secrete
testicular hormones called androgens.
