ABCD is a trapezium such that the length of side AB is 10 cm and length of side CD is 7 cm. If P and Q are mid-points of side AD and side BC respectively, then length of PQ is 8.5 cm.
In trapezium ABCD,

As P and Q are the midpoints of AD and BC respectively.
We have,

PQ = 12 AB + CD

PQ = 12 AB + CD PQ = 12 17 PQ = 8.5
