Detailed Solution

When a conductor is moved inside a magnetic field, a potential difference is induced which sets up an induced electric current in the circuit. Fleming’s right-hand rule is used to know the direction of the induced current.

According to this rule, we need to stretch the thumb, forefinger and middle finger of the right hand so that they are perpendicular to each other. If the forefinger indicates the direction of the magnetic field and the thumb shows the direction of motion of the conductor, then the middle finger will show the direction of the induced current.

Therefore, we can say that the middle finger shows the direction of the induced current.
