Detailed Solution

Karl Marx argued that industrial society was capitalist.
A capitalist society in this sense was one where the capitalists prevailed. Capitalists were the ones who owned the capital investment made in the factories and the profit of capitalists was produced by workers. The profit was directed towards the capitalists who also owned the private property. The workers were oppressed and had no land or money. Marx also argued that the workers needed to break the wall of capitalism and end the system of private property in order to break free from capitalist exploitation.
