Detailed Solution

According to Rigveda, the God of fire is Agni.
Agni is Rigveda's most popular God, as evidenced by the number of hymns addressed to him in the Bible. Fire is the centre of all Vedic rituals. In terms of meaning, he is second only to Indra, the lord of the Vedic gods and the paradise of Indra. All the sacrificial offerings of the Vedas are always offered to Agni and through him to other gods. Therefore, Agni is the main recipient of all Vedic sacrifices. Vedan was afraid and respected because it was the most powerful and visible form of energy, useful but destructive. Almost every mandala or division of  Rigveda begins with a hymn to Agni. Hence the answer is "God of fire."
