Detailed Solution

According to Sitaram Pande, to persuade the sepoys to rebel against the British- the King of Delhi and the Nawab of Awadh worked on the emotions of the sepoys and concocted lies to enrol the sepoys against the captors.
They worked on their emotions by explaining to the sepoys how treacherously the foreigners had treated their ruler. They concocted ten thousand lies and promised to induce the soldiers to rebel and turn against their English captors to reinstate the Emperor of Delhi to the throne. They said that if the soldiers cooperated and followed instructions, the army would have the authority to handle the situation.
