Detailed Solution

The act of blending pure and impure items to attain profits is known as adulteration.
To increase their earnings, manufacturers or dealers engage in this practice. For example, Milk is produced by buffalo, but to sell more milk, the milkman adulterates the milk with water. This hampers the consumer from getting pure milk. The consumer gets adulterated milk. The buffalo gives 10 litres of milk but the milkman adulterates it with water and then the quantity goes up to 14 litres and then he sells it to the consumer. This adulteration process is done to earn more profit.
