After 1947, Raikas could not move to the Sindh region for grazing.
The Raikas, who previously roamed Sindh and grazed their camels on the banks of the Indus, were no longer permitted to do so after 1947. Their journey was interrupted by the newly established political borders between India and Pakistan. So they were forced to look for new locations. They have been moving to Haryana recently so that sheep can graze in agricultural areas after the harvest is cut. The crops require animal manure at this time.
