In basidiomycetes like Agaricus, during sexual reproduction, the spores, known as basidiospores, are formed exogenously on basidium after karyogamy, followed by meiosis.
(1) Neurospora is an ascomycetes fungus. It forms ascospores by free cell formation in endogenous manner in ascus during sexual reproduction.
(2) Alternaria is a deuteromycetes and forms only asexual spores, known as conidia, in exogenous manner on
conidiophores.
(3) Saccharomyces is an ascomycetes fungus and it forms spores in endogenous manner in ascus during
sexual reproduction, after meiosis by free cell formation.
