For example, the Hindustan Times described a report, "Not fit for human consumption," dated March 22, 1946. This report tells us about the movement of over 2000 police officers in Delhi. They protested because of their low salaries and the poor quality of food they got to eat. After the spread of this news to the other police stations, they also refused to take food. This report was against British rule because it criticised them and showed the condition of their working departments in India.
