After the Jacobin dictatorship was abolished, Napoleon brought it back to France. The French political system has strong ties to the slave trade. The Slave trade was essential to the livelihood of Europeans. To work there and benefit Europeans, Europeans were the ones who travelled to distant lands and brought slave trades with them. Over three months, enslaved people were transported from the Atlantic to the Caribbean on a ship. The Slave Trade aided in the expansion of European colonial control. In 1794, a convention passed to free all enslaved people. Napoleon, however, reinstated the slave trade system after ten years.
