Ajmer, Rajasthan, India is home to the Sufi shrine (dargah) of famed Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz was another name for Khwaja Moinuddin. He was a Persian Muslim preacher who also studied and practised Islam. He was the eighth in the line of succession after Abu Ishaq Shami, the founder of the Chishti order, which had its beginnings in a small village in Chisht near Afghanistan.
