Detailed Solution

Akbar held religious discussions with the ulama in Fathepur Sikri. During the 1570s, religious debates took place in Fatehpur Sikri between Akbar and Brahmanas, the ulama, Jesuit priests, and Zoroastrians. The sessions took place in Ibadat Khana. Akbar saw that religious professor were frequently prejudiced against other people's ideas and thought their rites and religious practices were superior to the rest. As a result, their beliefs caused schisms among people and divisions among their subjects. Akbar was dissatisfied because he desired that his subjects live in peace and contentment rather than suspicion and hostility. As a result, the concept of "universal peace," or sulh-i kul, occurred to him. According to this belief, Akbar encouraged religious tolerance among his citizens.
