Detailed Solution

Akbar’s capital was situated in Fatehpur Sikri.
Construction activity increased between the eighth and the eighteenth centuries. Ideas were shared across regions. In this way, the architectural styles of one place were adopted by another. For example, near Mathura, in Vrindavan, temples had architectural styles similar to that of Mughal palaces in Fatehpur Sikri. Mughal rulers also adopted techniques that were popular among local rulers in Bengal. For instance, they developed a roof style that made their structures resemble thatched huts. The Mughals referred to it as the Bangla dome. Many of the buildings in Akbar’s capital at Fatehpur Sikri were influenced by the architectural styles of Malwa and Gujarat.
