Detailed Solution

All the countries that hold elections are not necessarily democratic. For a democratic election, everyone should have the freedom to decide. This means that each person should be allowed one vote, and each vote should count equally. There must be meaningful options to choose from. Elections should be open to parties and candidates, who should give voters a genuine range of options. Regular elections must be held every couple of years. Elections ought to be free and fair, allowing voters to express their true preferences. But elections in non-democratic countries appear to be moving toward a democratic system on the outside, but in reality, monarchies and dictators retain total authority.
