Detailed Solution

All the people engaged in farming do not have sufficient land for cultivation in Palampur.
It images ⅓ rd of the population in farming. Among the 450 families living in the village, one-third are landless, most of whom are Dalits who don't have any land for cultivation. Remaining families who own land, 240 families cultivate small plots of land that are less than 2 hectares. These are cultivated by small farmers who are mostly scattered throughout the village. There are only 60 families who own a large piece of land. These are medium and large farmers who cultivate more than 2 hectares of land.
