Alluri Sitaram Raju from Andhra Pradesh has contributed to the fight for Swaraj.
He was a tribal peasant who lived in Andhra Pradesh in the forest area of the Gudem hills. He lived with a tribal community in the forest. Alluri Sita Ram was given the meaning of swaraj in his way because he was a tribal man and an environmental lover. However, he was never in favour of cutting the forest's trees. Alluri Sitaram Raju was a tribal revolutionary from the Gudem Hills, Andhra Pradesh. He initiated a Gorilla militant movement against colonial misrule and closed large forest areas for the tribal people so that nobody could enter these areas for grazing or cutting wood.
