Alluri Sitaram Raju led the revolt from Gudem Hills of Andhra Pradesh. Alluri Sitaram Raju was influenced by the Gandhi Ji and Swaraj movements and started the guerrilla movement. Alluri Sitaram was a tribal man who lived in the forest area with his community of guides and hills. He started the guerilla movement because the colonial government was trying to prevent people from entering the forest area, blocking large forest areas. That’s why hill people started protesting against the colonial government.
