Detailed Solution

Alluri Sitaram Raju was the leader of the Rampa armed campaign against Britishers. A violent rebellion against British colonial control in India was led by Alluri Sitarama Raju, an Indian revolutionary. He became a monk when he was 18 years old. In response to the 1882 Madras Forest Act, which effectively barred Adivasis (tribal tribes) from freely moving about their forest habitats and forbade them from engaging in a traditional kind of agriculture known as podu, he became active in anti-British actions. He was born in the present-day state of Andhra Pradesh (shifting cultivation). The Rampa/Manyam Rebellion of 1922 resulted from growing anti-British sentiment, and he was a key figure and rebel commander in it. Because of his bravery, the local villagers gave him the moniker "Manyam Veerudu" (Hero of the Jungle). Raju was brought into police custody in 1924, chained to a tree, and executed in front of the whole community, ending the armed uprising.
