Detailed Solution

Alvars were devotees of Vishnu. Alvars, also known as Alvarkal, were Tamil poet-saints who lived in Tamil Nadu, a state in southern India. The Supreme Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, who was Lord Vishnu's avatar, was worshipped by the Alvars. They expressed their devotion to the gods by singing ecstatic songs. They lived between the fifth and tenth centuries CE. The spiritual outpourings of the Alvars during the medieval period contributed to the resurgence of the Bhakti Movement in India. Additionally, the bhakti movement was propagated by the collective chants of worship to Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu.
