Detailed Solution

Ambedkar started a temple entry movement. He first organised marches and protests to facilitate access to public drinking water resources. The Mahar caste participated in a movement Ambedkar started in 1927 to gain access to temples. Brahman priests were incensed when Dalits started utilising the temple tank's water. He wished everyone should be aware of caste stereotypes' impact on society. After openly criticising the famed Hindu text Manusmriti (Laws of Manu) for philosophically supporting caste prejudice and "untouchability," Ambedkar ceremonially burned copies of the text. On December 25, 1927, he organised the burning of Manusmriti copies with the assistance of thousands of supporters.
