Detailed Solution

Amir Khusrau referred to India as Hind.
India today is referred to as "Hindustan." Minhaj-i-Siraj used this term politically to imply that the regions were under the control of the Delhi Sultanate. The 14th-century poet Amir Khusrau coined the name "Hind" to characterise the topography, flora, and culture of those who lived in the Indian subcontinent. He had been to India and is well known for his works. Moreover, in his writings, Amir Khusrau referred to those who lived there as "Hinds." However, the "Hind" or "Hindustan" designations did not connote any particular nationalism or religion throughout the medieval era. The expressions were only employed in a political context during the time, with no reference to nationalism or the modern nation-state.
