Detailed Solution

In ethane (C2H6)  and benzene (C6H6)  hydrogen atoms are present on sp3  and sp2 hybridised carbon atom, so these are very weak acids as compared to CHCH (having sp carbon) and CH3OH (having electronegative oxygen) To decide whether CHCH  or CH3OH  is a stronger acid, consider the following reaction.

HCCNa++CH3OH(strongeracid)HC(weakeracid)CH+CH3ONa+

Since a stronger acid displaces a weaker acid from its salts, therefore, CH3OH is a stronger acid thanHCCH . Alternatively, CH3O  is weaker base than HCC  because oxygen can accommodate negative charge easily.
