A) Fare for the first km = Rs.20 = a

 Fare for each km after the first = Rs.8 = d

The fare  would be 20, 28, 36, 34, ….

The fare will be list form an A.P.

B) Let the volume of air in a cylinder, initially, be V litres.

Quantity removed in first step V×14=V4

VV4=34V

Quantity removed in second step =3V4×14=3V16

3V43V16=9V16

C) Cost of digging well first meter = Rs.150

Cost of digging well second meter =Rs150+Rs.50=200

 Cost of digging well third meter =200+50=250
