Detailed Solution

An Ammeter is the instrument used to measure the electric current flowing in an electric circuit.
A device that monitors the electric current passing through a circuit is an ammeter. By running the electrical current through a series of coils with low resistance and strong inductive reactance, ammeters can calculate the electrical current. The path may become short-circuited if the ammeters are linked in series, forcing all current to flow through the ammeter rather than through the circuit. In a circuit, an ammeter is always connected in series through which the current is to be measured.
