As given in the question, mass of alloy = 1kg.
We know that a% of b = a100×b where a and b are real numbers.
Mass of copper = 32% of 1kg.
Mass of copper = 0.32kg
Mass of nickel = 40% of 1 kg.
Mass of nickel = 0.4kg
Mass of zinc = 1 - (0.32 + 0.4).  Mass of zinc = 0.28 kg
Mass of zinc is 0.28 kg or 280 gm .
