Cost with GST included is Rs. 1239.
GST = Rs. 18.
Consider cost without GST = x  rupees.
Applying the formula,
Cost before GST + GST = Cost with GST.
⇒x+ 18 100 ×x =1239  
Solving the equation to find x  ,
⇒x+ 9x 50 =1239 ⇒ 50x+9x 50 =1239 ⇒50x+9x=1239×50 ⇒59x=61950 ⇒x=1050
