An artificially introducing germ or germ substances into the body for developing resistance against a particular disease is called Vaccine 

 

When a disease-carrying bacteria enters our healthy body, antibodies are produced, and these antibodies battle and kill the disease-carrying microbe. If the microorganism enters again, the body remembers how to combat it. Antibodies last a long period in the body and defend us from disease-causing microorganisms. Vaccines are commonly administered via needle injection, however some can also be administered orally or through the nose.
