The diameter of the circular track, d =200 m.

Therefore,  d= 2r=200 m.

Radius,       r= 100 m.
Given that, time taken by the athlete for 1 round is =40 s.

In 2 mins and 20 secs, the athlete will complete,                           2 mins 20 secs/40 = 140 / 40 = 3.5 rounds.
The distance covered in 140 sec =2πr x 3.5                                                                                        =2×3.14×100×3 =2200 m.
For 1 complete round, the displacement = zero. 

Therefore for 3 complete rounds, the displacement= zero.

At half of the round, the displacement is nothing but the diameter of the track which is 200m.
Hence, the distance covered = 2200 m and the displacement = 200 m.
