An electric lamp of resistance 20 Ω and a conductor of resistance 4 Ω are connected to a 6 V battery. The current through of the circuit is 0.25 A.
We can say that the total resistance in series resistance is the sum of all the resistances that are connected in series.
This gives, R= 20 + 4
               = 24 ohm
So, the current through the circuit is = V/R based on ohm’s law.
Here, V is the voltage and R is the resistance
 = 6/24 A
  I = 0.25 A
