Pool is filled 3/5 of its capacity. Thus, the empty pool’s volume is,
= 1 -

\frac{3}{5}

\frac{2}{5}

Suppose tank is filled in x hr. Thus,

\frac{3}{5} x = 8

x = \frac{40}{3}

Time required to fill 2/5 part of the tank,

\frac{40}{3} \times \frac{2}{5}
