The height of the idol AB=30  m
The height of the pillar BD=15  m  The distance from the base of the pillar DE=15 3  m
We construct a schematic diagram,
 Question ImageAB = the height of the idol
BD =the height of the pillar.
By the tangent rule in the right-angle triangle ΔADE  ,
tanθ= Height Base tanθ= DE AD  
The total height of the idol and pillar can be written as,
AD=30+15 AD=45   Substituting DE= 15 3   and AD=45 in tanθ= DE AD  ,
tanθ= 15 3 30+15 tanθ= 15 3 45 tanθ= 1 3   θ= tan 1 1 3 θ= 30 °  
Thus the angle in degree is 30 °  .
