The potential difference across inductor

At steady state,         i1=ξR1=122=6 A

and                            i2=ξR2=122=6 A

 When switch S is opened, the inductor opposes the decay of current, so direction of current in R2 remains same while the direction of current in R1 is reversed. If i3 be the current then 

     Ldi3dt+i3R1+i3R2=0

After simplifying, we get

                                i3=i3e-tR1+R2L   =6e-tR1+R2L   =6e-t2+20.4   =6e-10t
