An intelligent power sharing mechanism avoids conflicts.
In power-sharing, power is divided between different organs of the government. Each organ of the government is provided with its own set of powers. This makes sure that each organ works efficiently and to its full capability. With this distribution of power, each organ further keeps a check on another organ to ensure that no one misuses their power. Powers with the Centre can only be exercised by the Centre government, and state powers can only be exercised by the state government. This also reduces the chance of conflict between the two on the matter of power. Thus, the federal system prevents the possibility of conflicts.
