Detailed Solution

Concept- An extended property changes when a portion of the sample is removed, whereas an intensive property does not. The system's magnitude is indicated by an extensive attribute. Example: Intensive-pressure, temperature, and mass, volume
An intense property is a bulk property, which means it is a physical characteristic of a system independent of system size or material content. Intense attributes include things like a substance's temperature (T) , refractive index (n) , density, and hardness. When a diamond is cut, the pieces retain their intrinsic hardness (until their size reaches a few atoms thick) , implying that hardness is independent of system size.
Conversely, an additive property for subsystems is a comprehensive property. In other words, the system can be broken down into as many subsystems as necessary, with the extensive property measured for each subsystem. The value of the system's property would then be the sum of the extensive property for each subsystem.
As an example: A diamond's mass and volume are precisely proportionate to the quantity left after cutting it from the original material. Hardness is a more intense property than mass and volume.
Hence, option 2 is the correct answer.
