 If an object appears blue, then the colour of the light reflected by it is blue.
White light consists of seven colours named red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. These colours are often abbreviated as VIBGYOR. Each of the colours has a different wavelength and frequency. When light falls on an object, it absorbs and reflects the radiation. Usually, the object's colour is the same as the light reflected by it. Hence, it can be concluded that if our object appears blue, the colour of light reflected by it will also be blue.
