Detailed Solution

Given, the outer dimensions of cistern.
The cistern from outside is 1.35 m long, 1.08 m broad and 90 cm deep.
The volume of a cuboid  is l ×  b ×  h.
Outer Volume =1.35  m ×  1.08 m ×  90 cm
We know 1m=100 cm.
So, 90 cm=0.9m.
Therefore volume is
1.35  m ×1.08   m ×0.9   m
1.3122   m 3   The thickness of the cistern is 2.5 cm that is 0.025 m.
So, the inner dimensions = (1.35 -0.025 -0.025) m, (1.08-0.025-0.025) m, (0.9-0.025-0.025) m
 1.30 m, 1.03 m, 0.85 m.
Inner volume =1.30  m ×1.03  m ×0.85  m
1.13815   m 3
The capacity of the cistern = the inner volume that is 1.13815 m 3   .
Therefore, the correct option is 1.
