An ordinary Bill can originate in either House. It becomes law When it is passed by both the Houses and gets the assent of the President.
Any House of the Parliament may introduce a simple bill. Once it has been approved by the House in which it was introduced, it is then sent to another House. The bill may be rejected, subject to modifications, or approved by the other house. The law is assumed to have been passed by both Houses and is delivered to the President for his assent if the second House passes it without any alterations or the first House accepts the amendments proposed by the second house. If he grants the measure his approval, it becomes an Act and is added to the Statute book.
