Another name of Emperor Shah Jahan was Shihab al-Din Muhammad Khurram.
The fifth emperor of the Mughals, Shah Jahan I, was also known as Shihab al-Din Muhammad Khurram and ruled from January 1628 to July 1658. During his time as the emperor, the Mughals attained the height of their creative and architectural capabilities. Shah Jahan, Jahangir's third son, took part in the military wars against the Lodis of Deccan and the Rajputs of Mewar. He ordered the construction of numerous structures, including the Red Fort, the Shah Jahan Mosque, and the Taj Mahal, the final resting place of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. While fostering cordial ties with the Ottoman Empire, Shah Jahan oversaw intense expeditions against the Deccan Sultanates, battles with the Portuguese, and confrontations with the Safavids.
