The main objective of the Antyodaya Anna Yojana policy is to regulate and stabilise the prices of the foodgrains to ensure food security in India. It makes them affordable as well as available to the citizens of the country, mainly in the deficit states. It is difficult to make food grains accessible in the defective states compared to the surplus-producing states.
