  • When CuSO4(aq) are electrolysed by Pt electrode,CuSO4(aq)→Cu 2++SO42-+ H++OH-
  • Cathode : Cu2++ 2e-→Cu Anode : 4OH-→2H2O + O2+4e- remaning ions  2H++ SO42-→H2SO4
  • During electrolysis, Cu2+ (aq) decreases and H2SO4 is formed.
