Detailed Solution

Area sown more than once in an agricultural year plus the net sown area is termed as gross cropped area. Gross cropped area is the sum of all the areas that are sown throughout an agricultural year plus the net sown area. Gross cropped area can be acronym as G.C.A. The land sown in a year is calculated in G.C.A.; when a particular land is cultivated twice in a year, then G.C.A. will also get doubled. To calculate G.C.A, the net sown area is subtracted from the gross cropped area to get the desired results.
