Detailed Solution

Arid soils range from red to brown in colour. The desert soil can be found in parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab in India, and it goes all the way to Gujarat's Rann of Kutch. It's also known as desert soil in some areas. The arid soil has a sandy texture and is mainly red and brown. It is naturally saline. Because of the dry climate and high temperatures, evaporation occurs more quickly. Humus and moisture are both lacking in this soil. The 'Kankar' that lives on the lower horizon of this soil inhibits water infiltration due to the high calcium concentration. There are a lot of soluble salts in the soil.
